Writer introduces the villain of Mammootty's Unda

Unda, the Mammootty starrer hits theaters today and audience seem to be loving the police story. Unda tells the tale about a team of policemen from Kerala who head to a Maoist affected area for election duty. Backed with minimal ammunition and training, the challenges faced by the police force is effectively portrayed on-screen. The director Khalid Rahman has co-written Unda with Harshad. Harshad says that the film is based on a news item he had read in 2014 when a real team of policemen from Kerala had to endure a lot when they had undertaken a duty elsewhere. The writer says that the fear faced by the policemen due to the uncertainties and unforeseen events plays the biggest villain in the film.
