Trance, directed by Anwar Rasheed and starring Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya was an intense film that explored how the missionaries played with the faith of believers and commercialized their agenda. Fahadh essayed the role of Pastor Joshua, a miracle worker, hired by a corporate. The film took a dig at the Christian prayer sessions and had evoked criticism from people of the community. However, everyone praised the team for the gripping treatment. Just as the film had sent the Indian audience into a trance, we have to see if it will leave the overseas audience in a similar fashion. The film is set for a premiere at the International Indian Film Festival Toronto, to be held between August 9 and 15.
