Vijay-Lokesh Kanagaraj's much awaited biggie Master is slated for a Pongal release (Jan 13). The team had pinned huge hopes on the film and was riding high when the government permitted a 100% theater occupancy, however, the central govt requested TN govt to revoke the decision. The film's release in Kerala is also facing uncertainty due to the closure of theaters over differences between exhibitors and producers. Now, another issue that has given a jolt to the team is a plagiarism charge filed by K Rangadas who has alleged that it was his story and that he had registered it in South Indian Film Writers Association. This might prove to be a hurdle for the release - Master is claimed to be written by the director.
