Tovino is optimistic about Malayalam films reaching greater heights

Malayalam industry is in a golden phase now. With a lot of promising film makers , passionate actors and realistic content, Malayalam films have made the other industries turn back for references. Tovino feels that at this rate of growth in the industry, Malayalm films have more potential to get recognition in wider territories and gaining potential to compete in prestigious award categories like the Oscars. Tovino played a struggling film maker in his latest film And The Oskar Goes To, which is inspired from director Salim Ahamed's real struggles as he took his maiden film Adaminte Abu to compete in Best Foreign Film category at the Oscars.
