The unhealthy trend of degrading movies

Online degrading has reached a new low in the recent past. The trend of destructive criticism is spiraling upwards. We have seen how Kabir Singh bore the brunt of online attacks pointing the toxic masculinity involved in it, as if the film was the first to showcase misogyny. We also saw how multi-linguals, Mamangam and Saaho, had drawn flak for trivial reasons. All are aware of the fact that there is plenty of hard work, blood and sweat of many technicians and huge investment pumped in for a film. But, what is disheartening is the unhealthy trend of trolling films unnecessarily. It demotivates the entire team behind a film and may give second thoughts to a few from taking up cinema as a profession.
