Aishwarya Rajesh starrer Kousalya Krishnamurthy which is the official Telugu remake of acclaimed Kollywood film Kanaa and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas' upcoming thriller Rakshasudu have curious similarities. That they both are remakes of commercially successful and well-reviewed Tamil films is one thing, they also have followed a similar cost-cutting measure. Except for the scenes having Telugu actors, both the films used the same footage from the originals. For example, in Kousalya Krishnamurthy, Rajendra Prasad replaced Sathyaraj as the heroine's father. But Sivakarthikeyan's extended cameo is kept intact, including the footage. The same process is said to be followed for Rakshasudu too.
