The upcoming socio-political movie ‘Shorgul’ which was slated to hit screens on June 24, has now been shifted to next week i.e on July 1, 2016. Producer of the film, Swatantra Vijay Singh has said in a statement that, "We have been forced to postpone the release of our film to July 1. There is a sense of apprehension in the exhibition sector pertaining to the showcasing of the film and a lot of cinema managers have expressed their reservations." This multi-starrer movie directed by both Jitendra Tiwari and P. Singh, has been banned in western Uttar Pradesh as it shows the state in a negative way and it is not the first time that it has been postponed. Earlier, it was fixed for June 17, and later shifted to June 24.
