This year, September was the biggest month for Bengali films. With eleven film releases in a month among which seven films hit the screen during Durga Puja only, it was a treat for the audience of Bangla cinema. The month started with Birsa's much-anticipated film 'Shob Bhooturey' which attract the audience at the theatre. National Award winning, the small budget film 'Sahaj Pather Gappo' also did well at the box-office. Among the Puja releases, 'Yeti Obhijaan', 'Byomkesh O Agnibaan', 'Cockpit' and 'Projapoti Biskut' did better than the other three releases. While 'Yeti Obhijaan' and 'Cockpit' made more than a crore in the first week, 'Byomkesh O Agnibaan' managed to break even first.
