Remembering the legendary Thilakan on his 8th death anniversary

Thilakan, one of the prolific actors of Mollywood died eight years back and the industry still has not found a replacement for him. His roles can be reprised by none except himself. An actor par excellence, he is a recipient of Padma Shri, he has won 3 National awards, 9 Kerala State Awards (still holds the record of receiving state awards for second best actor 6 times). He died on 24 September 2012 following a massive cardiac arrest. A staunch atheist, his mortal remains was draped in the Communist Party's flag and was cremated with full state honors. The younger generation of audience remember him for his roles in Spadikam, Indian Rupee, Nerariyan CBI, Usthad Hotel, Narasimham, etc.
