Only Saswata could do justice to Tirtharaj's character, says 'Black Coffee' director

On the occasion of the release of 'Black Coffee', Atanu Ghosh, the director gave a sneak-peek of the story. “Black Coffee is usually a bitter beverage with an intense taste. And it's this intensity that echoes through the film, which is a relationship tale revolving around a larger-than-life director Tirtharaj Roy (Saswata) and his life and work. He's married to Mouli (Koyel), but develops a relationship with Srabani (Paoli) -a successful actress," reveals Atanu, who is content with his cast. “I strongly felt only he could do justice to Tirtharaj's character, as it has a lot of depth, intelligence and layers," explained the filmmaker.
