As the debate around nepotism is heating up in Bollywood, we are bewildered because this is not confined to just Hindi film industry. It is as clear as the skies that star kids gain easy access to the industry and their entry and launch is much simpler compared to an artist with no film background. But, does that sustain in the long run? Once a star kid enters the glam industry, he/she has to prove his/her worth to get opportunities. We have seen progeny of superstars fare badly in the industry. One cannot survive the cut-throat competition without talent. Some of the top actors (star kids) in all industries have survived competition and reached the pinnacle due to their skill and not due to their lineage.
