‘Mirzya is not for everyone’: Harshavardhan on the film’s failure

Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s recent contemporary feature film ‘Mirzya’ is a debacle at the box office and with it comes the downfall of two debutants – Harshavardhan Kapoor and Sayami Kher. However, Anil Kapoor’s lad Harsha, has taken the whole situation in a positive way and is beefing up strongly for his next movie. Speaking on his movie, he told, "Every film has its own destiny. I feel Mirzya is a work of art. It is a beautiful film and it will find its place in course of time." "The audience is used to seeing newcomers presented in a certain way. I didn't do any of the conventional things” he further added. The film was made on a budget of Rs 35 crores but collapsed by the end of its first week.
