Rajamouli's Bahubali franchise had already set a bench mark for period dramas. The Prabhas starrer is looked up to by the film makers for its grandeur and scale. As Mollywood awaits the release of its biggest period drama starring Mammootty, the actor points out the biggest difference between the two films. No, he is not boasting about Mamangam or challenging Bahubali. He says that Mamangam is a real story and is based on historic events that happened in the 16th and 17th century in Kerala. Bahubali is a fictional film and is purely the writer's imagination. Also, unlike Bahubali, Mamangam will use minimal VFX. Well, let the Malayalee movie buffs hope that Mamangam too can set a bench mark for other Indian films.
