Mamangam, the much anticipated period drama from Mammootty, released four days back. Surprisingly, the film has been getting mixed reviews and has divided the opinions of cinephiles. The film set in the 17-18th century tells the bravery and pride of the people of Valluvanad who sent their Chaavers to the historic Mamangam festival to capture back what was rightfully theirs. The film by M Padmakumar is bankrolled by Venu Kunnapilly and witnessed a mammoth world wide opening in 45 countries in 2000 plus screens.The film had an excellent opening day by grossing 23 crores from world box office. Now the team has officially confirmed that it has grossed 60 plus crores in 4 days from world box office.
