Makers of Aabhaasam win their tough battle with CBFC

The release of the Rima Kallingal-Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer Aabhasam which was originally slated to hit screens in the first week of January has been delayed as the movie caught in a tiff with the censor board. The movie has been initially given an 'A' certificate by the censor board against which the makers approached review committee on February 3 only to be given an 'A' certificate again and this time with more dictates. The makers finally had to move to Delhi tribunal with an appeal and the latest update is that Aabhasam is cleared with a U/A certificate. Directed by debutant Jubith Namradath, the movie is a social satire.
