Lack of toilet facilities forces people to defecate in open, says Varun Dhawan

Halkaa which released today talks about the importance of proper sanitation and a kid's dream not to defecate in open. Many are praising the director, Nila Madhab Panda, for the motive behind the film. The movie caught the attention of the Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan. Varun in a statement said, "There are street kids whose role Tathastu is playing... As people who want toilet facilities and if it's not there, where they will go - on the rail tracks or open. The film holds a strong message, where a young boy aspires to build a toilet." Varun also recalled an incident where he to defecate in open. Varun then was just 6 years old.
