Kasaba makers hint at a sequel

Kasaba was the directorial debut of Renji Panicker's son Nithin Renji Panicker. The film had Mammootty playing police officer Rajan Zakaria. It also starred Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Neha Saxena in important roles. However, it was one of top actor films that got embroiled in a controversy. The film was pulled up by many including a few artists from the industry for its misogynistic dialogues. They felt that it was unbecoming of an actor of Mammootty's stature to mouth such lines. As the film is celebrating four years of release, its producer Joby George has taken to his social media page and has revealed that if destiny permits Rajan Zakaria would be back.
