‘Indu Sarkar’ gets green signal from CBFC and HC

After a lot of turmoil, Madhur Bhandarkar’s film ‘Indu Sarkar’ which is based on the true incident that occurred during the emergency era of the 70s, has finally got a nod from Bombay High Court and Central Board of Film Certification. The HC has rejected the petition filed by Priya Singh Paul, the alleged daughter of Sanjay Gandhi, stating that ‘unless the claim of lineage is finalised, there is no ground to stop the release of the film’. On the other hand the censor board certified the film with few cuts. The movie is slated to open in theatres on July 28.
