Godzilla Vs Kong Dominates Local Releases In The North

We have seen the release of big name films like Roohi and Mumbai Saga that have lost the ground due to the lockdown and the restrictions imposed on theatres and malls. While the failure of Roohi is somewhat unsurprising for the bordering-on-ridicule reviews it got, Mumbai Saga’s failure is a shocker as the word of the mouth for the film is so good. It can be attested by the fact that the reviewers who generally negatively comment upon John Abraham’s films too praised it. Now, in another shocker, Godzilla Vs Kong which was doing good thanks to South Indian numbers till now has put up great numbers on Holi and the next day thanks to North Indian box office numbers. So, where’s the problem? Content or audience?
