The Supreme Court fined the West Bengal government today for stopping the screening of Anik Dutta's Bhobishyoter Bhoot. Dutta's political satire which originally released on 15th March didn't go well with the government and the next day, the film was removed from the theatre. Many Bengali film personalities protested against the shadow banning of the film. Supreme Court called it a case of the violation of the fundamental right of free speech and expression. The fine money of Rs 20 lakh will go to the film's producer and the theatre owners.
