CBFC miffed with ‘Rangoon’ for ignoring protocols

Vishal Bhardwaj’s war drama film ‘Rangoon’ which is already facing a low business at box office, has ended up adding one more trouble to its plethora of problems. Pahlaj Nihalani, the chairperson of the CBFC, has alleged that the movie is being played without the censor certificate and without the anti-smoking short films, in theatres across the country and outside India. “We asked the makers to put a disclaimer ahead of the opening credits. That disclaimer has gone missing” he further added. The board has begun investigating the matter and plans to take action incase it turns out to be true.
