It is no surprise that OTT platforms are in a rage due to the current lockdown. Earlier, a lot of fans usually went to theatres just to see their favourite stars on a 70mm screen. But coming to OTT, content is the king, and the audience turned quite picky in selecting the films (be it with a good storyline/ have more bold content). While a theatrical performance of a film is hugely based on the star cast (of course a good story, star director, and noted production banner also plays a crucial role), the success of OTT releases is not dependent on star cast, and the success of UMUR, Krishna And His Leela, etc. are examples to it. Hence all the so-called Superstars of big screens are not the kings of the OTT Empire anymore.
