The movie starts with Kabir (Yash) and Ruhi (Mimi) celebrating their marriage anniversary. Kabir went shopping for his wife where he is shot by four masked gangsters. Just before collapsing a fifth person shoots him. He is rushed to the hospital and a shocked Ruhi arrives to see him. The film then ventures into a flashback where we see how Kabir became Guru, the gangster. He comes across Jamal (Bratya Basu) whom Kabir calls Baba. Baba renames Kabir as Guru. Guru is always accompanied by his close friend Ghudi.
The story moves a few years forward. Now Guru is a known name of the underworld. Guru is asked to Vishnu, an ex-member of the gang, who wants to leave it to live a normal life. Anyway, he let Vishnu go but soon he is killed by his other teammates. An enraged Guru finds out his teammates are conspiring against him. They try to kill Guru and Ghudi but failed. Just when a fight is going to start, Guru bumps on Ruhi, a chirpy girl. Soon, he fell for her and decides to leave the world of crime forever. He gets married to Ruhi and went to take Baba's blessing knowing well that things will never be alright between them. In the present day, it is revealed that Ruhi was the fifth person to shoot Kabir AKA Guru!
