Virus

Virus, directed by Aashiq Abu, is touted to be a realistic drama inspired by the 2018 Nipah Virus outbreak in Kerala. The film stars Rima Kallingal, Tovino Thomas, Revathy, Soubin Shahir, Dileesh Pothan, Kalidas Jayaram, Chemban Vinod Jose, Parvathy and Asif Ali in the lead roles. While Revathy plays the role of Health Minister KK Shailaja, Tovino Thomas appears as Kozhikode collector UV Jose. Rima Kallingal essays the role of nurse Lini Puthussery, who contracted Nipah and passed away while treating the virus affected patients.

The script for the Virus is jointly written by Muhsin Parari, Suhas and Sharfu. Sushin Shyam is in charge of the music department. Renowned cinematographer Rajeev Ravi and editor Saiju Sreedharan are also part of the crew.  Aashiq Abu himself is producing the film under OPM Dream Mill Cinemas.
