Vikram Vedha

‘Vikram-Vedha’ is a crime thriller directed by director-duo Pushkar and Gayathri. The story revolves around two strong-headed guys who happens to be an encounter specialist and a gutsy gangster played by Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi respectively. ‘U-Turn’ fame Shradhha Srinath and Varalaxmi Sarath are playing the female leads. The film is produced under Y Not Studios banner by Shashikanth. 

The film has raised up huge expectations among the Tamil audience bringing in two unconventional actors Vijay Sethupathi and R. Madhavan. While Vijay Sethupathi is compared to Marlon Brando, Madhavan is known for his irresistibly charming looks. Unlike their previous roles, Vijay is playing a daredevil gangster and Madhavan appears uptight cop. Although there have been rumours that the film is being highly inspired from Steven Speilberg’s ‘Catch Me If You Can’ that released in 2002, every scene in the trailer looks so authentic and the story seems to have erupted from our locale. It is also believed that the film has roots in the folktale of Vikramaditya. 

Along with the male cast, the film also boasts of two exceptionally talented heroines. First comes Shraddha Srinath. Hailing from a theatre background, Shradhha Srinath is best –known for her movie ‘U-Turn’ which created records in Kannada film industry. She is one of the sought-after actresses now. Secondly, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Likewise Shraddha, Varalaxmi is also an extraordinarily talented artist who has been grabbing awards ever since her first movie ‘Podaa Podi’ in 2012. These two actors are undoubtedly the biggest strength to ‘Vikram Vedha’.

Next comes the director duo Pushkar and Gayathri. They happened to have worked on the script of ‘Vikram Vedha’ for almost four years. Finally, they could bring it to the light with a bang on July 21. 2017.
