Mersal album which was composed by A.R.Rahman has become a huge hit and the songs helped the film very much. Each and every song of the album is a super hit and especially Alapooran Thamizhan and Neethanae became huge chartbusters. Mersal songs proved once again that A.R.Rahman is capable of composing every kind of music including the mass music required for a commercial entertainer like Mersal.

The first song of Mersal is Maacho which was sung by Sid Sriram and Shwetha Mohan. It is a peppy number which has been composed stylishly by ARR. The lyrical and video song of Maacho garnered over 50 million views. The unique voice of Sid Sriram helped the song sound a bit different. Mersal Arasan is a typical dance number we have seen in many of Vijay’s films but still, ARR mark can be clearly seen in the way the song has been composed.

The third song of the album Neethanae is sung ARR himself along with the very talented Shreya Ghoshal. Neethane is a beautiful melody which featured the lead pair, Vijay and Samantha. ARR and Shreya Ghoshal’s soulful voices make this song a memorable one for the music lovers.

The final and best song of the Mersal music album is Alapooran Thamizhan which is sung by a bunch of singers like Kailash Kher, Sathya Prakash, Deepak, Pooja AV. The composition looks grandeur with the voices and music trying to dominate each other delivering a chartbuster song. The lyrics of Aalapooran Thamizhan written by Vivek are very meaningful describing the pride of being a Tamizhan and it is a must listen for all the people of Tamilnadu.
