ICICI Bank loan recovery agent Bairavaa comes across a beautiful medico Malarvizhi and falls in love with her. When he sees her about to be killed by some goons, he saves her and asks her the reason behind this. Malarvizhi who studies in PK Medical College in Tirunelveli along with her best friend, Vaishali.
But the college in which they study has no facilities including proper building and doctors. Malarvizhi and Vaishali lodges a complaint with the Medical Council of India (MCI). It hits the chairman of the college, a politician and goon, Periya Kallu aka PK. To guard his honor, he makes a deal with the officials from the MCI. He has to send a girl for them for a night. PK selects Vaishali for this. She is found raped and murdered brutally after a few days.
Malarvizhi's father who is a sincere police officer investigates the case but is killed by the henchmen of PK. She even tries to take the help of the son of a union minister, Charan. His hand is severed and the proofs she had collected are taken away by the goons of PK. Listening to her story, Bairavaa assures that he will help her. How he does this and save Malarvizhi forms the crux of the story.
Bairavaa received mixed to negative reviews from the critics. But the performances of the lead pair Vijay and Keerthy Suresh are praised. So is the case with Jagapathi Babu's villain. The movie became a commercial success.
