Cast: Silambarasan Simbu as Shakthi, Hansika as Priya Mahalakshmi, VTV Ganesh as Kutty Paiyaa, Aditya as Anbu, Adukalam Naren as Devaraj ( Shakthi's father, Mahadevan as Priya's father, Santhanam as K Kribakaran aka Tyre.

Shakthi, a die-hard fan of Thala Ajith is an easy go lucky guy who spends most of his time along with his friends. The title Vaalu denotes Shakthi's character as he is naughty. From his ringtone to the coolers his love for Thala Ajith is shown in the movie throughout. He indulges in all naughty things and doesn't keep calm if any problem occurs in front of him. 

He meets Priya Mahalakshmi and her charm and cuteness make Shakthi fall head over heels for her. Shakthi then starts trying to impress her and decides to get a job and attends a few job interviews. It is revealed that Priya is impressed and share the same feeling for him but she is already engaged to her cousin Anbu. The plot revolves around their romance and how he ends up marrying her. 

Vaalu started its production in 2012 but was completed only in 2015. Despite having a three-year gap, Simbu-Santhanam combination in the movie impressed the audience. The movie was dubbed in Hindi with the same title. The movie acquired a great response at the theatres and bagged a decent collection.
