Ungarala Rambabu Review & Rating
‘Ungarala Rambabu’ is a story of an orphan, Rambabu (played by Sunil) who has been raised by his loving grandfather but as he enters his youth, his granddad dies leaving nothing to him but beautiful memories and huge debts. How our Rambabu pays back all those debts forms the crux of the movie.
To speak of performances, Sunil as always impresses with the comic part but as his role gets serious into the serious tone, the audiences find it difficult to empathize with him. Prakash Raj is irreplaceable as a communist leader. His speeches in the film are absolutely inspirational. Miya George does her best in the limited role she plays.
One of the major drawbacks of the film is its music. Not because Ghibran’s compositions are catchy, almost all of the songs seem out of place. Visually, the film is decent and gets richer in its second half. Although director Kranthi Madhav touches upon long-debated social issues like lands acquisition, land distribution, and communist leadership, he failed to generate an interesting story out of these topics. Casting also seems inappropriate except for Prakash Raj.
On the overall, 'Ungarala Rambabu' neither falls under a comedy entertainer nor a hard-hitting social drama. Wach it if you have nothing else to do this weekend.

What to expect?
A good dose of comedy:
Like any other Sunil's film, this movie is also expected to have a decent dose of comedy. Sunil is quite reliable when it comes to having a good laughter ride and from the trailer, it looks like he has delivered his bit this time with ease.
Kranthi Madhav's direction:
Kranthi Madhav is known for his intriguing plots. Though this time he has picked a comedy subject, he has not left behind with just that. Picking a subject against farmers backdrop and with a layer of communism in it, the movie looks interesting.
High production values:
Paruchuri Kireeti is known for his production values. It was observed in all his previous movies and this movie is not far behind. The producers look to have spent decent amount within their limit and have come up with an interesting subject.
