Ulkuthu featuring Dinesh Ravi in the lead is written and directed by Caarthick Raju. The movie revolves around the life of people living in a coastal village in the South.

The star cast includes Bala Saravanan, John Vijay, Chaya Singh, Sriman, 'Pandiya Nadu' fame Sharath, Dilip Subbarayan, and the popular chef Damodaran in prominent roles. J Selvakumar who is known for producing small budget movies in Kollywood is bankrolling this project under Kenanya Films banner. The music for the film has been composed by Justin Prabhakaran and lyrics were provided by Anthony Dasan and Vivek Velmurugan. PK Varma handled the cinematography of the film while the editing was taken care by popular editor K.L. Praveen.
