Thappu Thanda Review & Rating
Directed by Srikanthan, ‘Thappu Thanda’ is centred a bagful of money sent by a politician intending to distribute to the people of his constituency in exchange for their votes. A bunch of robbers plotting to steal this money forms the crux of the movie.
Although Srikanthan takes a lot of time to establish his characters, ‘Thappu Thanda’ can be considered as a solidly-made film for a debut director. Unfortunately, the film’s matter of fact statements take away the exciting elements of the film. And the biggest minus point is its casting. Almost every other actor has typecast roles which we have been seeing for years –John Vijay as funny criminal, Mime Gopi as a politician and Ajay Ghosh as a cruel police officer.
