The album of Thanga Magan reached the expectations music lovers had after the rocking album of VIP in the combination of Dhanush and Anirudh. Dhanush has written the lyrics for all the songs in the album and also crooned a couple of them. The album was highly successful irrespective of the box office result of Thanga Magan.

The first song of the album is Oh Oh which is a romantic track sung by Dhanush and Nikhitha Gandhi. It has peppy music and the beat which comes after the first pallavi is the best part of the song. With this song, Dhanush has once again proved that he is as good as any professional singer. The second song Enna Solla is undoubtedly the best song of the album and is one of the best melodies in the recent times. Shweta Mohan has beautifully rendered this soulful song which had meaningful lyrics from Dhanush. Shweta Mohan won the Filmfare and SIIMA awards for this song and was nominated for many other awards.

Tak Bak is a fun number which was sung by Anirudh Ravichander. The song clicks mainly because of the quirky lyrics by Dhanush and the way it was sung by Anirudh. Jodi Nilave is an emotional track sung by Dhanush and Shweta Mohan. There’s nothing special about the song but the vocals from Dhanush, Shwetha make it a decent one.
