Shamitabh

This melodrama film directed by R. Balki is about Daanish (Dhanush), a mute struggling actor who tries to get a break in films but fails. Daanish meets Akshara (Akshara Haasan), an assistant director who help him meet Amitabh Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan), an old failed actor with a very good voice. Amitabh becomes the voice of Daanish as Akshara launches him in films and he becomes successful. Amitabh and Daanish realize that they are inseparable and owe their success to each other but all of this is short-lived when they meet with an accident and Daanish succumbs to his injuries and Amitabh loses his voice.
