Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana Story

Cast: Rajkummar Rao as IAS Officer Satyendra Mishra and Kriti Kharbanda as PCS Officer Aarti Shukla 

Satyendra "Sattu" Mishra meets Aarti Shukla during match-making. Sattu is a clerk, while Aarti wants to become a PCS officer. When Aarti reveals that she wants to work even after their marriage, Sattu agrees and they both fall in love with each other. However, on the day of their marriage, Aarti comes to know that her in-laws are completely against her working after marriage and are unaware that Sattu has already accepted this. Aarti's sister Abha convinces her to flee and to make her career. Confused Aarti chooses career over love and runs away leaving Sattu heartbroken and his family humiliated.

Sattu later decides to take up IAS to excel in her career. 5 years later, they both cross each others path, when Sattu who is now an IAS officer is assigned the case of framed PCS officer Aarti. Sattu tries to take revenge from Aarti by humiliating her throughout the case inquiry. How Sattu and Aarti will finally meet is the rest of the story. 

Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana didn't perform quite well at the box office and received mixed reviews. The critics appreciated the actor's performances but however criticised the stretching of the storyline for too long. Few critics even found the songs were obstructive to the plot. The box office collection of Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana was 14.38 crores.
