Sachin A Billion Dreams is an Indian docudrama-biographical film which tells the story of the 'God of Cricket' Sachin Tendulkar. The film has two subplots, one tells the story of Sachin's childhood to his career till 1999 and the second tells the story of how he transformed into the world's most celebrated cricketer of all times. Sachin was the fourth child of his parents and was a naughty child while growing up. At a very young age, Sachin became the sensation in the Cricket world.
Sachin developed an interest in Cricket at an early age and was driven to Cricket after India won the first world cup in 1983. Sachin got his training from his coach R. Achrekar. Sachin hit to fame after making a 664-run in partnership with Vinod Kambli. After playing for a long time, Sachin was finally signed in by Yorkshire. The movie goes on with a scene wise narration by Sachin himself, and few scenes Harsha Bhogle and Borja Majumdar. The movie comprises of video recordings of Sachin's personal life, interview, matches, etc. throughout the film.
Being released in total 5 languages, Sachin: A Billion Dreams holds a special place in the hearts of cricket lovers. The movie grossed an estimated of 75.01 crores at the box office. According to the critics, the movie had everything to make the audience nostalgic.
