What is the film all about?
Pavel’s Rosogolla is the biopic of Nabin Chandra Das, the inventor of Rosogolla. Set in the backdrop of 19th century, Nabin, a newbie baker promises his lady love to bake new sweet for her but his journey wasn’t a cake walk. A penniless Nabin faces tons of troubles and turbulences before he invents Rosogolla, the sweet that became inseparable from Bengali’s platter and life.
What to expect from the film?
An incredible story
Pavel has surprised picking such a unique, never-told-before true story for his movie. As an idea, the biopic of the inventor of Rosogolla seems intriguing. The audience will line up to see the story to unfold on the big screen.
The film needed to recreate the old Kolkata to stay historically accurate. A team of experts worked for it and we can’t wait to see the end result. The movie has a brilliant story to tell. The execution looks fine in the trailers. Hopefully, the film won’t disappoint.
A fresh pair of debutants
Ujaan Ganguly and Abantika’s pairing looks like fresh air in the world of Bengali cinema. The young actors look absolutely natural in their periodic avatar. The chemistry should be effortless and top-notch. The expectation is high from Kaushik Ganguly and Churni Ganguly’s son Ujaan Ganguly too.
The film has one of the best ensemble casts that we have seen in the recent past. It stars Kharaj Mukherjee, Shantilal Mukherjee, Aparajjita Adhya, Subhasree Ganguly, Kaushik Sen, and other prominent actors of Bengali cinema.
The music of the film has touched the hearts by capturing the flavor of the very period. Kalikaprasad has done his last music for this film. Other songs composed by Arnab Dutta and Harish Sagane is a treat to ears. The audience is eager to watch Tapur Tupur and Dhire Dhire song in the theatre.
