'Robot 2' is a Rajnikanth's film which is a sequel to the blockbuster sci-fi thriller 'Robot' series. Directed by S.Shankar, the film has Amy Jackson in the female lead role, while Rajinikanth will reprise his role from the first film as Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, and Akshay Kumar will be seen as the chief antagonist. Aishwarya Rai will also appear in a cameo role. 

Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and Riyaz Khan will be seen in the titular role. Dharma Productions is bankrolling this huge project. The film will be released in Tamil and Hindi and also will be released in 13 other dubbed languages. 2.0 is the most expensive Indian films to be ever made.
