Aami Ashbo Phirey Review & Rating
Aami Ashbo Phirey, directed by Anjan Dutt is about multiple characters and their hidden dynamics. The film revolves around Ranjana (Darshana Banik) who gets raped Sanju, son of an estranged couple, Rono (Anjan Dutt) and Mala (Anjana Basu). Gargi (Swastika Mukherjee) a successful lawyer takes up Ranjana’s case. Then there is Oona (Sauraseni Maitra), Gargi’s daughter, who is in love with Jojo (Kushik Sen), a director, who is way older than her. Arko (Anindya Chatterjee), Rono’s tenant is a struggling singer who can’t write songs.
The film has some absolutely brilliant performances by Darshana Banik, Souraseni, Swastika Mukherjee, and maestro Anjan Dutt himself. Sumanta Mukhopadhyay as Ranjana’s father too delivers a powerful performance. However, the film fails to explore all its characters equally. Kaushik Ganguly's character is one such character which remained underdeveloped due to the presence of too many characters and the short length of the film.
However, the film stands out being an unapologetically non-judgemental stand on relationships which is rare to find. It's a quintessential narration of urban relationships and their complexities which worth a watch.

What is the film all about?
Aami Ashbo Phirey is a quintessential musical revolving around six lives, six listeners who somehow got inspired and motivated by music. It is all about common people. Music plays a pivotal role in their lives. How music helps them to cope with the struggle, pain and how music helps them to cure and move on is the film all about.
What to expect from Aami Ashbo Phire?
The old and amazing Anjan Dutt
For a long time, the maestro has not come up with a musical film with his magical touch. The biggest expectation from the film will be the return of the old Anja Dutt with his typical Anjan Dutt charm that was evident in The Bong Connection and Madly Bangali.
A Bengali musical
Bengali audience has not seen a proper musical for a long time now. Aami Ashbo Phirey should fill up the gaps and serve the purpose of a musical.
A heart-wrenching story
The trailer promises a relatable and soulful story. It's a movie about common men who have expectations, emotions, heartbreaks, and struggles in their lives just like us. Naturally, the audience will expect a simple yet poignant story that touches the heart.
The film's music is already a big hit. After 11 years, Anjan Dutt penned and sang for his own film. He joined forces with his son Neel Dutta, while Neel Dutta has composed the tracks of Aami Ashbo Phirey. The fans will wait to watch the songs in the movie.
