Rangasthalam

Rangasthalam is a Telugu movie featuring Ram Charan and Samantha in the lead roles. The film is written and directed by Sukumar. This is a lovestory set on the backdrop of village and was shot in Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh state.

This is the first combination of hero Ram Charan with director Sukumar and actress Samantha. Charan's sister Sushmita is styling for the mega hero in the movie. Actors Jagapathi Babu and Aadhi Pinisetty will be seen in crucial roles.

Devi Sri Prasad is composing music while Rathnavelu is handling the cinematography. Naveen Nooli is the editor and Cherry is the executive producer. Mythri Movie Makers banner is bankrolling the movie.

Five major characters of the movie are revealed. Ram Charan, Samantha, Jagapathi Babu, Aadhi Pinisetty, and Anasuya Bharadwaj played those characters.

Ram Charan plays the character of Chitti Babu, a deaf sound engineer. His look for the movie is quite distinctive, and his role in the movie will a landmark for him as Sukumar heroes generally get special applause. Samantha plays the character of Ramalakshmi, a village belle. She got a different character in this movie, unlike anything she played till now. Her raw looks add to the charm she exudes in the character. 

Jagapathi Babu played the character of the village president. He is the main antagonist of the movie. Cigar wielding, and white beard, he looks the part of a villain. Aadhi Pinisetty played the role of Kumar Babu, and he looks sophisticated among the raw characters played by others. Anasuya Bharadwaj played the character of Rangammatha, and it is refreshing to see her in a village attire.
