Raees is a crime action movie which tells the story of a smuggler by the name Raees, who lives in Gujarat along with his mother. At a very young age, he gets involved in the illegal transportation of liquor that is banned in the state. He carries bottles secretly along with his friend Sadiq and helps Jairaj in the trade.

As he grows and gets the knowledge of business, he parts ways with Jairaj to start his own bootlegging business with the help of Musabhai. Meanwhile, an honest police officer of IPS cadre, Majumdar, gets transferred to Fatehpur, who starts an investigation on the illegal business. Gujarat's chief minister and Pasha Bhai, a politician support Raees. Raees tries to avert Majumdar.

Raees marries Aasiya. He employs his villagers to sew cloth bags so that he can smuggle liquor and transport it to homes. Jairaj plans to kill Raees but Raees kills him. Raees and Aasiya have a son and he calls CM and Pashabhai to celebrate with him. CM offers Raees a project to eliminate illegal occupants at a land and build a housing project. Majumdar taps Raees' telephonic conversations.

Raees assaults Pashabhai during an election campaign and is advised by the CM to go to jail for a while. However, CM and Pashabhai form a team. Raees fights elections from the jail and wins. CM puts the housing project in a green zone. Raees finds himself broke. To generate money, Raees smuggles gold. Police investigation reveals that the gold he smuggled, had RDX. Raees kills Musabhai for misusing him. Majumdar shoots Raees and he dies.

Raees was a critical and commercial success. It is one of the highest grossing Indian movies of all time. Shah Rukh Khan is attractive even in the bad avatar. Raees bagged one award. Raees was one of the movies that were banned in Pakistan. Tell us which dialogue is your favorite from Raees.
