Race 3 Review & Rating|
The Race franchise has been known for its sharp screenplay and stylistic way of storytelling. Race and Race 2 were directed by Abbas-Mastan and had Saif Ali Khan play the lead role. Those movies had the audience invest in the characters and were filled with stunning twists and turns. Here, director Remo D’Souza takes Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol and Saqib Saleem and creates a whole new universe, with no connections to the previous films. This has become a norm in Bollywood now.
The story of the film is very convoluted. It deals with drugs, international arms dealers, politicians in a prostitution ring and so much more. At one point, the viewer just gives up finding logic and just looks at the visuals on the screen. Visually, the film is very appealing to the eyes but that’s about it. There is a saying that a film is only as good as its script and Race 3 fits that saying perfectly. All those stunning visuals and production value are of no use if there is no story to support it.
Salman Khan plays Sikandar, an arms dealer who wants to blackmail some politicians for money. He is joined by Jacqueline Fernandez and Bobby Deol in this while two siblings played by Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah try to stop them. Anil Kapoor has been a part of this franchise from the start but he does not play his original character in this film. Every actor in this movie has just hammed up their performance and has a fun day doing so. Salman Khan, unfortunately, is the worst of the lot with his overacting.
The music of the film has been receiving negative reviews ever since it was released and the lyrics do not make sense at all. Ironically, this film has ten different lyricists including Salman Khan himself. This movie follows the concept of sibling rivalry just like the previous two installments but that is the only connection between them and this film. The ending of Race 3 is quite intriguing but it is too little too late.
The saving grace of Race 3 is all the action sequences, choreographed by Tom Struthers, who has worked on superhit Hollywood films like Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy and the recently released Black Panther. The action is world class and has been shot beautifully by Remo D’Souza. Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah have looked amazing but are nothing more than eye candy in this film. At a time when female-centric films like Raazi and Veere Di Wedding are doing tremendously well, Race 3 comes as a surprise.
All in all, there were a lot of expectations from Race 3 but it's all show and nothing to tell. Go watch this movie if you are a die-hard Salman Khan fan or enjoy watching a movie for its visuals and high octane action sequences.

Race 3 User Reviews
One of the most anticipated films of the year, Race 3 is finally out now. Directed by Remo D'Souza, the film stars Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol and Saqib Saleem in the lead roles. The film is an action-packed entertainer and promises to give the viewers an adrenaline rush. Here is what the public has to say about Race 3:
The movie is getting mixed to negative reviews from the general audience and is also criticizing the acting performances of the stars in the film. But Anil Kapoor seems to have impressed the negative reviewers too. The story also seems to be very convoluted according to the people that have watched the film already. The makers released an action trailer just one day before the film's release which was probably not the best idea.
The script is also at flaw here. Unlike the scripts of the previous installments and the direction of Abbas-Mastan, Remo D'Souza fails to capture the thrill. The twists and turns are predictable and fail to keep the audience excited. Salman Khan and others have completely hammed their performances and the movie fails to seem realistic at any level.

It is directed by Remo D’Souza who had previously directed films like ABCD and A Flying Jatt. Salman replaces Saif Ali Khan as the lead and this film is one of the most awaited films of the year that will continue with the theme of a spat between family members like the previous two installments. A lot of work has been done to make sure that the best of the action sequences have been shown in the film to reach the level of that of Hollywood films.
What to expect from Race 3?
The film boasts of a bunch of bankable actors and actresses in its ensemble cast. Salman Khan’s last film Tiger Zinda Hai was a blockbuster and collected more than 300 Crores at the box office and his fans have high expectations from him with Race 3 as well. Apart from him, the movie also has Anil Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez who have also given many hits in the recent times. All of them along with Saqib Saleem, Bobby Deol, and Daisy Shah guarantee a great plethora of acting performances in the film.
The makers have made this a complete action entertainer and Salman Khan has himself admitted that this film has the most amount of action-packed scenes when compared to his other movie. Hollywood stunt coordinator Tom Struthers, who has worked closely with Christopher Nolan on films like The Dark Knight Rises and Dunkirk has been roped in to be the acting director of Race 3, making the fans of the action genre very excited to watch all the set pieces.
Remo D’Souza is not that experienced when it comes to direction but his films ABCD: Any Body Can Dance and ABCD 2 starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor were both blockbusters with the second film entering the 100 Crore club. Salman has liked the work of the director so much that he has also signed him to direct Dabbang 3 so it will be exciting to see what the filmmakers have to say with Race 3.
Just like all the other films in the Race franchise, a lot of drama can also be expected from this film. The Race franchise is known for its mind-bending twists and intense plot turns that will shock the audiences in theaters. The makers have shot multiple endings to the film so that the secret is not leaked, which confirms that this film also has a twist ending that is sure to get the moviegoers excited and on the edge of their seats.
Salim-Sulaiman have been roped in to compose the soundtrack and the background music of this film. Salman Khan has also been credited as one of the lyricists and has written the words to the song titled Selfish sung by Atif Aslam and Lulia Vantur. Other songs like Heeriye and Allah Duhai Hai are already chartbusters and this along with the powerful background music will make the film watching experience even better for the viewers.
