Purampokku

Directed by SP Jhananathan, 'Purampokku' is an action thriller starring Arya, Vijay Sethupathi, Karthika Nair and Shaam. The story is about capital punishment which revolves around Balusamy (Arya) who believes in the principles of communism and has been sentenced to death by a military court for carrying out a deadly attack on the Indian army. The Judge entrusts the responsibility of the execution to Jail Superintendent Michael (Shaam) who appoints Yemalingam (Vijay Sethupathi) for Balusamy’s execution. Enters Kuyili (Karthika Nair) who is befriended by Balusamy to help him escape from jail. How Michael stops Balusamy from escaping the jail and how Kuyili succeeds in getting Balusamy out forms the remaining part of this engrossing thriller.
