Mehak Deo is a gifted and extremely talented artist, whose world turns upside down when she is assaulted by a taxi driver. After that, she develops agoraphobia, a condition in which an individual is paranoid about socializing with people. Mehak's sister, Anusha supports her but after some time she gets exhausted with Mehak's behaviour after it starts affecting her 5-year-old son. A close friend of Mehak, Shaan, takes her to an empty apartment, hoping that it will help Mehak if she lives alone for a while.
At her new apartment, Mehak befriends her neighbours Nikki and Manu. Manu reveals that he is devasted because of his girlfriend Jiah who earlier used to live in Mehak's new apartment left her. Manu reveals that Jiah disappeared without any trace. Intrigued by Manu's story about Jiah, Mehak finds Jiah's diary and is fascinated by her own imagination. Mehak starts having visions which make her think that she is possessed by some malevolent force. Mehak starts believing that Jiah's sudden disappearance is caused due to strange events that occur around the apartment. Will Mehak be able to overcome her phobia?
Phobia was a critically acclaimed movie. Like always, Radhika Apte's brilliant performance was appreciated. However, the movie didn't perform well at the box office.
