Pakka Review & Rating
Vikram Prabhu is back to Kollywood after a short break with a rural comedy entertainer directed by debutant SS Surya. The movie titled Pakka has the story written by the director himself featuring Vikram Prabhu, Nikki Galrani and Bindhu Madhavi in the lead roles. Produced by T Sivakumar, Pakka is a commercial mass entertainer with Vikram Prabhu performing a dual role alongside Nikki Galrani essaying a Superstar Rajinikanth Fan. The movie set in the backdrop of a village is love tale packed with action and colourfully picturised songs. Pakka is filled with talented character and humour actors, it features Porotta Soori, Sathish, Saranya Ponvannan, Anandraj in pivotal roles. Check below for the review.
The movie released today with much expectation has failed to impress many of the audience with the content of the movie. Pakka has nothing to offer in the story that actually evokes any sort of positive emotion from the audience. A movie with two and a half hours duration has nothing to offer and Pakka is never making an impression. The movie starts with the usual cliched comedy sequences and references of Kollywood top actors Vijay, Suriya, Ajith.
Vikram Prabhu, a toy seller who visits villages to sell the toys meets Bindhu Madhavi, who is on a journey to find her lost love. With that stereotype plot, Pakka's first half gets a flashback, where Bindhu Madhavi narrates her romantic tale to Vikram Prabhu. Bindhu looked very beautiful but Pakka proved once again that movie doesn't work with looks. The Big Boss contestant Bindu Madhavi's lip-sync is so out of sync and it felt like she should have done home works to learn the dialogues at least to deliver the emotional scenes correctly.
The second of Pakka starts with Vikram's serious effort to find Bindhu's better half and ends up essaying his half-baked love story with Nikki Galrani. The director has given nice screen space for Nikki but fails to evoke her character with good sequences. SS Surya makes Pakka filled with cliches and unnecessary scenes lined with comedies that don't work. Even with two top comedians in Kollywood, the director makes it hard for the audiences to get engaged to Pakka. More thrilling action sequences if added would have helped the director and the actor to keep the audience expect something from the movie.
Final Verdict: Vikram Prabhu's Pakka is watchable.

What to expect from Pakka?
The pictures and sneak peek of the movie give the jinx of Vikram Prabhu's new avatar. The Kumki actor Vikram Prabhu in the movie essays the character of a vibrant youth who is a die-hard fan of Superstar Rajinikanth. Pakka would definitely showcase the actor's calibre to perform humour and mass action sequences. The actors 2017 was not as good as expected and he has kicked off 2018 with a couple of big projects and his year's first release would be SS Suriya's directorial debut venture Pakka.
Nikki Galrani and Bindhu Madhavi
Nikki Galrani will mark Pakka as her 25th movie and the actress looks ravishingly gorgeous in the movie stills.Nikki started her 2018 with a huge blockbuster Kalakalappu2 directed by Sundar C. Along with Nikki Galrani, Bindhu Madhavi makes her presence as one of the female lead in Pakka. Bindhu Madhavi who has made a special space in the movie buffs and Tamil audience's heart portraying her real and genuine character in the much liked television reality show Big Boss season 1 would be making her comeback to silver screen with Pakka. The combination of these two actresses in the movie is expected to be a fun ride.
Soori and Sathish
Soori and Sathish who are a major part of most of the biggies in Kollywood are definitely the top comedians in the Industry at present. By roping them for Pakka, the director clearly shows how funny and entertaining would be the movie.
