Oka manasu Story

Cast: Naga Shourya as Surya, Niharika Konidela as Sandhya, Rao ramesh as Surya's father, and Pragathi as Sandhya's mother. 

Sandhya is a medico with few ideals. Surya is a youngster with political aspirations. His father has pinned all his hopes on his son. Sandhya's is a love at first sight for Surya. She knows what he is doing and what he wants to do. But she is as stubborn as the director Ramaraju himself is. 

Surya often does few settlements. In one such occasion, he is arrested by the police and is sentenced to three years. This makes Sandhya shattered but she prevails with help of her love for Surya. Their love is strong. But the destiny is even stronger. Surya releases from the jail but the case hags on him like an axe. Also, his father wants him to come out of the rut.

Similarly, Sandhya's mother tries to get her daughter out of her love for Surya. Sandhya's mother even confronts Surya to know why he has such a hold on her daughter. Finally, a day comes when Surya has to part ways with Sandhya in order to fulfill his father's wishes. What happens after that, will the lovers unite even at the end forms the rest of the story which is dealt with in a poetic way. 

Oka manasu received praise for the idea and the lead pair performance. It was criticised for slow narration. Sunil Kashyap's music received great praise. The movie underperformed at the box office.
