Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava is the story of one man who wants to put an end to the factionism in Rayala Seema so that there will be an everlasting peace in the beleaguered region. Veera Raghava returns from London after his studies. He was away from home for about 12 years. Veera Raghava belongs to the warring village of Kommaddi which has a rivalry with another village named Nallagudi. The faction between these two villages is known as 5-rupees faction.
Kommaddi is lead by Narapa Reddy and Veera Raghava is his son. Basi Reddy leads the faction from Nallagudi. Narapa Reddy goes to the railway station to receive his son. Basi Reddy and his group attack Narapa Reddy and Veera Raghava Reddy when they are returning from the railway station. Narapa Reddy gets killed in the big fight that ensued. Veera Raghava Reddy wants to avenge his father's death but inspired by his grandmother's words, he leaves the idea and goes away from his native place thinking the absence of resistance may lead to peace.
Veera Raghava Reddy meets Aravinda in Hyderabad who is an anthropology student who researches on factionalism and group wars. There, he is inspired to put an end to the ever-raging war. Does Basi Reddy agree with Veera Raghava's plans? How Veera Raghava accomplish his mission form the rest of the story.
Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava received generally positive reviews from the critics. N. T. R.'s performance, Trivikram's out of his comfort zone writing, and the background score by Thaman received great praise. The movie went on to become one of the highest grossing Telugu films of all time.
