Nene Raju Nene Mantri Review & Rating|
Touted to be the comeback film of Teja, ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ starring Rana Daggubati and Kajal Aggarwal is a political thriller which grabbed the attention of movie lovers. The trailer of the film received a unanimously positive response, the movie also created a lot of buzz, thanks to the aggressive promotional campaigns. The film got released today and here is what top critics had to say about this film.
Teja basically wrote the story based on the political life of yesteryear superstar of Tamil cinema MGR. The film is about the rise, fall, and redemption of Jogendra. Teja cleverly added a decent love story with the stunning chemistry between Rana and Kajal.
Rana delivers superb performance as a politician and he has elevated the film to next level with his screen presence. Kajal Aggarwal as Radha is loveable and is one of the major attraction of the film. Catherine Tresa as Devika Rani was convincing and she has nothing much to do.
Coming to technical aspects, Anup Rubens did his best and gave terrific background score and elevated many scenes. Dialogues by Laxmi Bhupal deserve a special mention as they are relatable to everyone and also suit the story. Teja definitely gave his best and made a decent film but he should have been more careful in the second half.
Verdict: Rana and Kajal along with Teja gave a decent political thriller, you won't be disappointed if you keep your expectations low.

Teja seems to be making a grand comeback with the movie 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri.' Rana Daggubati plays the lead and Kajal Aggarwal will be seen as the female lead. The plot is about a sincere guy who turns rebel where crime, power and money dominate. Right from its first teaser, the movie has generated positive vibes and Rana seems quite confident about their work.
Suresh Babu, who is known for investing in movies with content has co-produced this movie in association with Blue Planet Entertainments. This movie also marks the 50th movie of Kajal Aggarwal.
What to expect from this movie?
Teja's rebellious take on the political scenario: Teja is known for the rebellious nature in most of his leads. While we have seen in the past where his leads went rebellious for love, this time he has decided to take on the political system. The trailer itself gives great vibes about the movie's content. We hope to see some hair raising moments in the movie from Teja.
Rana Daggubati's performance: This is probably the first time we will be seeing Rana in a complete 'mass' avatar. As Jogendra, Rana has already been praised for the attitude he has carried in the movie's teaser and trailer. The title also talks about the 'non-compromising' nature that the lead Jogendra carries. And to see Rana in this role looks quite exciting.
The power of 'women': One of the promotional campaign that the makers have run is - 'Behind every great man, there is a great woman.' Also the movie's trailer hints that Jogendra turns violent when his lady is hurt/killed. This shows that the subject will revolve around women as well. With this being Kajal's 50th movie and on the other side Catherine Tresa, who appears in an interesting grey role, we can expect to see some really impressive performances from the ladies.
Anup Ruben's thumping music score: The song 'Jogendra.. Jogendra..' has already caught up with the music lovers. Though there are a very few songs in the album, the thumping BGM score in the teaser and trailer has received great response from everyone. And for a political thriller drama of this range, we are sure Anup Rubens has kept some good music score in store for us.
