Anil Kapoor steals the show as Arjun Kapoor lags behind. Athiya Shetty has no character while the film gives Ileana D'CRuz far more space to work with who makes most of this opportunity.
Just like Andaz Apna Apna and Hera Pheri, Mubarakan is a family comedy which is clean and uses common sense to make the audiences laugh out loud.
A classic Aneez Basmee film filled with one liners and gags, Audience might need some patience and perseverance to watch the film, as is the case with such Bollywood comedies.

Mubarakan is one of the few films to come out in recent times to be a complete family comedy with no use of vulgarity. All the actors, especially Anil Kapoor is being praised for his comedic skills.

About the movie
Mubarakan is the film that brings Arjun Kapoor and his uncle Anil Kapoor together for the first time on the big screen. It is a Romantic Comedy directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Sony Pictures. The film has Arjun Kapoor portraying a double role where he plays brothers Karan and Charan and Anil Kapoor playing their uncle Kartar who causes confusion in their love lives and then tries to solve the confusion. Ileana D'Cruz and Athiya Shetty play the love interests to the characters Karan and Charan respectively.
