Mikhael is the second venture of the director and writer Haneef Adeni who had made his debut with the film The Great Father. Nivin Pauly is playing the titular role in this film which also has Unni Mukundan in a key role. The film is touted to be a family thriller in which Nivin will be seen playing a family man. Anto Joseph is producing the movie under his banner Anto Joseph Film Company. Vishnu Panicker is handling the cinematography for this film while Gopi Sunder is composing the music. Hari Narayanan is penning the lyrics for the song while Mahesh Narayanan is taking care of film's editing. JD Chakravarthy, Siddique, Renji Panicker, Ashokan, Shanthi Krishna, Kalabhavan Shajon, and KPAC Lalitha are the other supporting cast of the film
