Mayurakshi (Bengali)

Directed by Atanu Ghosh, 'Mayurakshi' has the story of a father and son at its crux. Starring Soumitra Chatterjee and Prosenjit Chatterjee as father and son, this one will be the first significant work where both Soumitra and Prosenjit play pivotal roles. The movie revolves around Sushobhon and Aryaneel, an old man suffering from dementia and his NRI son, who returns to India only for his father. The movie is all about discovering, nurturing, and memorizing the love, emotions, and bondings shared by two people. Actress Indrani Haldar is making a comeback on the silver screen after a long time with this movie. Here she plays Aryaneel's best friend, an independent and funloving woman. The movie also stars Gargee Roy Chowdhury and Sudipta Chakraborty in pivotal roles.
